Volunteers are needed to help build ministries at Holy Cross Parish OR to help grow existing ministries. MINISTRY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
- Hospitality Committee (Social Sunday crew)
- Sick and Shut In (home, hospital and nursing home visitors needed, and card writers, prayer service leaders; training provided)
- Ministry with Youth (Facilitators needed to accompany young people)
- Children's Liturgy of the Word (Facilitators needed, 30min during Mass)
- Special Events Planning Committee (church picnic, annual Easter egg hunt, extra outreach projects, pilgrimages, neighborhood, census, ecumenical events, etc.)
- Contemplative Cleaning Group (scheduled tidying of church)
- Altar Society (keeps sanctuary tidy, from front pew to the tabernacle, and altar linens cleaned & pressed)
- Small Group Facilitators (time for small group prayer & reflection)
- Liturgical Ministries (Altar Servers, Sacristans, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Greeters & Ushers, Audio Visual (AV) Techs for Mass live-stream)
- Advocacy Ministers (A group of Legal, Medical, Social Workers, and other concerned people who care to be the Voice of the Voiceless. Serving immigrants, nursing home residents, and others in need to be heard)
- PREP / OCIA (Religious Education volunteers working directly with Director of Religious Education)
- Facilities & Groundskeepers (Gardeners, maintenance, handy-persons who lend their talents to keep the buildings and the grounds around campus safe, clean and inviting)
SOCIAL & SPIRITUAL GROUPS
- Social Justice Committee (Educate and Serve according to Catholic Social Teachings)
- Man-To-Man (Pray, Reflect and Share time with other men considering the Word for that weekend)
- Ladies Guild (Socialize, Mobilize and Spread the Joy of our Catholic Faith with other women and the community at large)
- Young Adult Group (Meet with others in your similar stage-in-life: pray, socialize and do life together)
- Adult & Kids Bible Study (Consider the Word weekly)
- Knights of Columbus (service organization that support charitable activities)
- Alcoholics Anonymous (support group for those living with addition and/or their allies)
