I am SO EXCITED at the prospect of growing in our faith as a Holy Cross Parish community & taking that faith-filled flame into our neighborhood, city and the world by way of our ministries. From Mission to Ministry, Let's Go!!
WAIT! It gets better. Our Archbishop Nelson Perez of Philadelphia is steering the helm of our city's Catholic ship in the direction of Missionary Discipleship! MIND BLOWN!! Going out and doing, and bringing the lost ones or those who have fallen away from the church BACK! (Can you feel the excitement here??!)
All that we have been talking about as a parish for the last few months: ministry development, census of our neighborhood, targeted outreach, extending invitations, etc. all of this and more is on the Archbishop's radar. Hence, we are moving in the right direction!

Archbishop Nelson J. Perez released a pastoral letter, at the core of which is a call to a pastoral change of heart, a conversion to the lifestyle and mindset of a missionary disciple.
A missionary disciple is someone who is seriously committed to life in Jesus Christ and is enflamed with the desire to win back the Lord's lost sheep, those Catholics who no longer attend Mass.
The letter also shares with us the Archbishop's vision for the future of the Church of Philadelphia through an introduction to the initiative known as "The Fourth Way."

The Archbishop's letter also inaugurates a period of widespread consultation regarding "The Fourth Way." All Catholics of the Archdiocese are invited to attend a consultation session so you can learn more about this plan and offer your input.
