Dear Holy Cross Parish Family and Friends,
“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; upon those who lived in a land of gloom a light has shone.” Isaiah 9:1
As we celebrate the glorious birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we give thanks to God for the gift of Emmanuel, God with us, born humbly in a manger, bringing hope, peace, and joy to the world.
This Christmas season, our hearts are especially full of gratitude for the many hands and hearts that helped prepare the way for Christ among us. From the first days of Advent to the beauty of Christmas, so much love, prayer, and generosity have gone into making our parish a place where faith is lived and shared.
We offer sincere thanks to our altar servers, musicians, lectors, ushers, ministers, decorators, planners, organizers, and volunteers, and to all who quietly serve behind the scenes. Your dedication reflects the spirit of Mary’s loving “yes,” Joseph’s faithful trust, and the shepherds’ joyful response. Through your service, the Gospel has truly been proclaimed, not only in word, but in action.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.” 1 Peter 4:10
Because of you, our church has been filled with light, prayer, beauty, and welcome. You have helped create sacred moments where hearts are lifted, traditions are honored, and Christ is encountered.
May the peace sung by the angels “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests”, abide in your homes and families this Christmas and throughout the New Year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thank you for all that you do, for all that you give, and for being a living witness of Christ’s love at Holy Cross Parish.
With gratitude and Christmas joy,
In Christ,
Rev. Kevin Okafor
