Board Nominations Now Open — Friends of Holy Cross Parish PHL
Friends of Holy Cross Parish PHL
Holy Cross Parish is establishing Friends of Holy Cross Parish PHL, a new stand-alone 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to preserving our historic campus, securing grants, supporting capital improvements, and sustaining the Parish's community mission for generations to come. We are now seeking nominations for the founding Board of Directors — individuals who will help shape this organization from the ground up and represent Holy Cross before funders, civic partners, and the broader Philadelphia community. Board members will serve two-year terms and are expected to attend quarterly meetings, participate in committee work, and support fundraising and grant development efforts. This is a volunteer position of genuine honor and meaningful responsibility.
We are looking for nominees with experience in areas such as nonprofit governance, law, accounting, grant writing, real estate, historic preservation, community development, communications, or business — but no single qualification is required. Above all, we seek people of integrity with a deep commitment to the mission and future of Holy Cross.
Parishioners, Finance Council members, and Pastoral Council members are all encouraged to nominate themselves or someone they believe would serve with distinction. Nomination forms are due by Sunday, April 5, 2026 and may be returned to the Parish Office at 154 East Mt. Airy Avenue or submitted by email to secretary@holycrossphl.org.
The nomination form is available as a word document and a fillable pdf. Please save your responses before emailing them back to secretary@holycrossphl.org.
